CAN-STOP and Rotary District 3234 Successfully Host 13th Edition of ABC Exhibition on Cancer Awareness !

Chennai, July , 2024: CAN-STOP (Cancer Support Therapy to Overcome Pain) and Rotary District 3234 successfully organized the 13th edition of the ABC “All a’Bout Cancer” Exhibition, an annual event aimed at creating mass awareness among students and the public about cancer.

The event, held at Madras Christian College Higher Secondary School (MCC), Chetpet, saw participation from 1200 students across 75 schools in Chennai. The awareness program featured various competitions, including informative stalls, painting, skits, quizzes, and oratorical events in Tamil and English.

The event was graced by the presence of Dr. J RadhaKrishnan, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary to Government, Cooperation, Food & Consumer Protection Department, as the chief guest. Other dignitaries included Thiru R Sudhan IAS (retd), Sangeetha Choodamani, Gaana Padmam Smt. Nithyashree Mahadevan, Ms. Sanchitha Shetty (Actress), and Rotary District 3234 officials.

Over the past 12 years, the ABC Exhibition has educated more than 16,000 students, and this year’s event marked another significant milestone in CAN-STOP’s 26-year journey of supporting patients and families affected by cancer.

ABC: The ABC “All a’Bout Cancer” Exhibition (Inter School Competition), an annual event ofCANSTOP, aims to create mass awareness among students and the public throughinformative stalls on various cancer-related topics. ABC Exhibition has been conducted forthe past 12 years with the support of the schools located in & around Chennai since 2001 andhas educated more than 16,000 students. 
This Year CANSTOP & Rotary District 3234 are organizing its 13th edition of “ABC (Alla’Bout Cancer) Exhibition” to educate the students about Cancer. The awareness programwas held on July 27th, 2024, at Madras Christian College Higher Secondary School (MCC),Chetpet. It is a one-day event comprising various competitions, like Information Stalls, Painting, Skits, Quizzes, and Oratorical Tamil & English. Around 1200students from 75 schools across Chennai participated in the event. 
The Event was enlightened by the presence of Dr J RadhaKrishnan, IAS – AdditionalChief Secretary to Government, Cooperation, Food & Consumer ProtectionDepartment as the chief guest and the Guests of Honours for the program are, Thiru RSudhan IAS (retd) Member Secretary, Tamil Nadu Model Schools., SangeethaChoodamani, Gaana Padmam Smt.
