Chennai: Dr. Hema Divakar, a reputed gynecologist, National Convenor of Manyata, and Past President of FOGSI, said it is good to see that Manyata is taking the lead to conduct a dedicated national conference on labor care. The aim of the conference is to ensure the safety, quality, and dignity of women during labor and their newborns.

Dr. Hema said, “We are proud that Tamil Nadu’s FOGSI chapter of Manyata has taken the lead to conduct the conference. Technological interventions are being used across India in capacity building among frontline workers. The TN chapter has trained the maximum number of healthcare providers who have been trained to adopt the protocol-based delivery system. We are proud that we have been able to bring about a positive change in maternity care.”
