
Chennai, 2nd March 2025: RG Hospitals proudly hosted the RG Inclusive Marathon 2025 – Run for the Unstoppables was held today at Olcott Memorial Higher Secondary School Besant Nagar, Chennai. The event brought together over 1500+ participants with disabilities, honoring the extraordinary spirit of individuals overcoming challenges. Celebrating diversity and empowering individuals with disabilities, the marathon stood as a powerful testament to inclusivity, resilience, and empowerment. It redefined possibilities and broke barriers, inspiring all who attended.
The marathon featured 11 specially curated categories with separate divisions for male and female athletes, ensuring equal opportunities for all. A total of 44 winners were celebrated, and every participant was awarded a Finisher Medal, symbolizing their unwavering determination and dedication to pushing boundaries.
The day began with an energetic Zumba session, setting the perfect tone for an atmosphere filled with positivity and determination. The air was charged with excitement as participants united to celebrate diversity, courage, and empowerment.
The true heroes of the day were the participants themselves—each step taken was a powerful reminder that disability does not define capability. Their journey showcased the boundless strength of the human spirit, inspiring everyone present to believe in the power of perseverance.
The occasion was further elevated by the presence of notable dignitaries including M. Sathya Priya IPS, Inspector General of Office, Economic Offences, R. Prabhakaran, LLM, Advocate, Supreme Court of India & Chairman, Pravda Law Associates, Dr. Arun Kumar K., Senior Consultant – Urology, RG Hospitals, Chennai, Rajkumar Muthukrishnan, Chairman, Child Welfare Committee, Dr. C.K. Gariyali, Retired IAS Officer & Former Secretary to Governor and Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Dr. P. Simmachandran, State President, TNDFCT, and J.M.H. Hassan Maulaana, MLA, Velachery Constituency. Their presence reinforced the collective commitment towards social transformation and inclusivity.
