VELAMMAL EXCELS IN CHESSMiss. G. Tejeswini, Std 11 of Velammal Main School, Mogappair Campus emerged Winner at the 51st Tamilnadu State Women  Championship 2022 in the 9th round held in Tiruvarur between 5th and 9th October, 2022.

Tejaswini scored 8.5 points out of 9 and enrouted her spectacular victory. This stupendous win qualifies her into the forthcoming National Women’s Chess Championship scheduled  in Maharashtra representing Tamil Nadu.

Tiruvarur District Chess Association on behalf of Tamil Nadu State Association had organised this Championship, wherein 164 players from 27 districts in Tamil Nadu participated.
