The Department of  Computer Science and Engineering, SRMIST – VDP campusis hosting its 10th National Symposium- “Ubertech 2022” on 14th and 15th October 2022. There werea series of workshops, webinars along with technical, non-technical and gaming events, in the 10th edition with Metaverse being the theme.

The inaugural function wason 14th October at 9.00 AM .
Inaugural Chief Guest was  Mrs.K.Bhavaneeswari IPS, Inspector General of Police, Vigilance & Anti-Corruption, Tamil Nadu Police.

The Chief guest expressed her opinion that, despite everything, college is the most wonderful time of life. She talked about how she is passionate about learning about cutting-edge technologies like AI and ML that improve our quality of life. She emphasized the idea that there are no failures in life; only lessons, and that making tough choices had given her strength. Many were impressed by her ideas on emotional thought management.

Guest of Honor was Dr.Madhan Kumar Srinivasan, CTO & Managing Director, HueTech LLC Ltd , Dubai. He delivered a Special address on the symposium theme “The Metaverse and how we build it together”.He spoke about the metaverse and how by 2026, 25% of the population will be working the metaverse. He also spoke about the 2F- The fire and the fear one must follow to grow in heights. He also quoted that “You should fear about the fire everyday”

The souvenir was released by Mrs.K.Bhavaneeswari IPS, and the first copy was received by Dr.Madhan Kumar Srinivasan while Dr. S. Ramachandran, Deputy Director -SRM Group, Dr. C.V. Jayakumar, Dean (CET)– SRMIST, Vadapalani, Dr. S. Prasanna Devi, HOD-CSE, Organizing secretaries Dr.M.Poonkodi and Dr.G.Paavai Anand of CSE Department also received their copies.

Students from various colleges enthusiastically participated in the technical, non-technical and gaming events.
