SRM Institute of Hotel Management, Ekkatuthaangal Campus  has achieved
Nova World Record by preparing 2025 multi-grain, plant-based Kathi rolls. 

This symbolic number reflects the year itself, celebrating 2025 with purpose and 

passion.

Each roll was  handcrafted using wholesome multi-grain chapathis, 

generously spread with a flavorful Peri Peri Hummus Sause, filled with assorted 

garden-fresh vegetables, and wrapped into delicious, nutritious Kathi rolls—

demonstrating our commitment to promoting plant-based, immunity-boosting 

meals.

120 students from our institution  participated in this massive culinary feat, 

each contributing 17 rolls, reflecting teamwork, discipline, and dedication.

What makes this record truly meaningful is its heart: all prepared Kathi rolls have been donated through the “No Food Waste” NGO, reaching communities in 

need and reinforcing our core values of compassion, sustainability, and service.

Dr. D. Antony Ashok Kumar, Director of SRM IHM and Mr. R. A. Nadesan, Director of SRM Group – Vadapalani Campus received the award from Mr. Rajkumar Natrajan, The Executive Director of NOVA World Records and the individual Honours were done to Assistant Professors of Food Production Mr.  Gopinath & Mr. Nithyanandan, Dr. Geetha Priya, HOD incharge of Vadapalani Campus, Ms. Bhuvaneswari, And Ms. J. Lalitha Shri the Vice Principal of SRM IHM, Kattankulathur Campus.
