The Chennai Football Association (CFA) is organizing five division leagues at various grounds including the Senior Division League 2022 – 23. The CFA’s Senior Division is extremely special in that regard because it has been the breeding ground for almost every talent that has come up from the South Indian state.
The inauguration of the league will be held at the ICF Stadium, Chennai. The Chief Guest SHRI S. SRINIVAS, Principal Chief Mechanical Engineer – ICF will inaugurate the league. M/s. S.S. Mishra, CWE/FUR, ICF, Mr. Ankur Chauhan, Dy. CMM/s, ICF, Mr. T. Santhan – Octopus Marine, Mr. M. Raja Kumar – Industrialist, Mr. Wilson Cherian, Sr. Sports Officer – ICF, Mr P. Mohandoss – JAC Convener – ICF Labour Union will be the Guest of Honour.
As AIFF have banned foreign players in the local leagues, CFA league will be held without foreign players. There are eight teams in the fray in the 2022-23 season. 28 matches in the senior division will be played at ICF Stadium / Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. There will be one Senior Division matches every day at 4.00 pm. First Division matches will commence at 2 PM and the second match at 4.00 PM.

The inaugural match kicks off between ICF and Income Tax on 19th May, 2023 at ICF Stadium. Cosco Platina football will be used in all matches. Entry to matches is free!

Income Tax knocked off ICF by scoring 1-0. Vigneshwaran scored an easy goal against the ICF in the 1st half of the match. Edwin Sydney Vanspaul is the man of the match.
