Deliver.sg Acquires Indian Mobillity Lifestyle Platform BusyBee, Sets Sights on Expansion in Asia and Middle East

Singapore based food delivery platform Deliver.sg, owned by Maxima Logistics Pte Ltd, has made a significant move in its ambitious expansion strategy by acquiring Indian Mobillity Lifestyle Platform BusyBee.

Since its launch in 2019 by Krishnamani Kannan and Naresh Kumar Rajendran, Deliver.sg has grown from filling a gap in the long-distance food delivery sector to becoming a trusted provider in the mobility ecosystem. Offering services from food delivery to MAAS (Mobillity as a Service) for corporate and government entities, the platform has carved a robust online presence, all while maintaining a positive EBITDA. Now, with an aggressive growth plan, Deliver.sg is spreading its wings to Asia and the Middle East via joint ventures and acquisitions.

BusyBee, initiated by Arun Kumar in 2017, began as an on-demand courier service and has since evolved into a mobility lifestyle platform. Currently operational in 317 locations across five Southern Indian states with over 1800 delivery riders, the firm is set to leverage Deliver.sg’s expertise to build a cost-effective and profitable venture. With the backing of Maxima logistics team, BusyBee plans to escalate its presence to 1000 locations by 2025.

This acquisition/investment to Tamil Nadu is a positive outcome of our TN Honourable Chief Minister Mr.Stalin’s recent visit to Singapore attracting foreign investments. Mr. Krishnamani Kannan is also Vice-Chairman of SINGAPORE SOUTH ASIA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (SSACCI), putting his company investment via SSACCI

Alongside, Maxima Logistics has enlisted Mr. Ananda Kumar, founder of Kaizen Venture Studio, UAE and a noted start-up and investment specialist, to serve on its advisory board. Mr. Kumar will guide fund-raising and expansion strategies, marking a crucial step as Deliver.sg gears up to raise its further round in the later half of 2023.

As part of this crucial acquisition process, Maxima Logistics has engaged Avere advisors to ensure thorough due diligence and transaction support.

This acquisition sets the stage for Deliver.sg’s ambitious plans to establish itself as a mobility super app, further revolutionising the landscape of mobility services across Asia and the Middle East.
