TN Min Sekar Babu Inaugurates Free 24*7 Apollo Pharmacy & Emergency Medical Care Centre at MGR Central Railway Station

Chennai, 04 September 2023: Thiru P K Sekar Babu, Hon Minister for Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments & CMDA inaugurated the Apollo Pharmacy and Emergency Medical Care Centre at the MGR Chennai Central Railway Station today. This 24*7 facility is a joint initiative by Apollo Pharmacy and Apollo Hospitals to cater to the needs of travelers in need of immediate medical aid and ensure hassle-free journeys. Senior officials from Apollo Hospitals and Apollo Pharmacy were in attendance at the event.

The Pharmacy will stock vital medications, first-aid supplies and health essentials for travelers. The emergency care facility will be manned by an expert physician and 2 paramedic nurses working in shifts to ensure round-the-clock service. A battery-operated ambulance buggy has also been introduced to ferry patients in need of immediate medical attention to the nearest hospital. The ambulance, manned by staff trained in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, will be on standby within the station limits.
