

Chennai, 06 August 2026: With the objective of promoting dignified livelihoods and self-reliance for every section of society, JITO Chennai Chapter, through its flagship initiative JITO Jobs, organized a Special Mega Employment & Empowerment Drive exclusively for Divyang (Specially Abled) Individuals, lovingly referred to as God’s Special Children.
Shri Rajesh Chandan, Chairman, JITO Chennai Chapter, stated that this was not a routine job fair, but a unique initiative aimed at integrating specially abled individuals into the mainstream by providing employment opportunities that match their talent and capabilities. The programme was designed to connect deserving candidates with employers who believe in an inclusive workplace culture.
Shri D.K. Jain, Joint Treasurer, JITO Apex, said that JITO Jobs firmly believes every individual deserves the opportunity to earn a dignified livelihood according to their abilities and potential. It is with this vision that the Special Employment & Empowerment Drive was organised.
The event witnessed the participation of 35 reputed companies and corporate organizations, representing diverse sectors including Information Technology, Manufacturing, Retail, Healthcare, Services, and Administration. A total of 328 specially abled candidates enthusiastically participated in the drive. Interviews were conducted by participating companies, and the recruitment process was initiated for suitable candidates. The programme proved to be a significant step towards promoting inclusive employment and equal opportunities.
The programme was graced by Shri Bandi Gangadhar, IPS, as the Chief Guest. Addressing the gathering, he said that providing dignified employment to specially abled individuals is one of the most effective ways of empowering them and integrating them into the mainstream workforce. He appreciated JITO Jobs for this unique initiative and remarked that society can truly progress only when equal opportunities are made available to every individual.
The event was attended by several distinguished dignitaries including Shri Rajesh Chandan, Chairman, JITO Chennai Chapter; Shri Vinod Jain, Apex Chairman, JITO Jobs; Shri D.K. Jain, Joint Treasurer, JITO Apex; Shri Ajit Bhandari, Chief Secretary, JITO Jobs; Shri Pankaj Kankaria, Secretary, JITO Chennai Chapter, Shri Ajay Nahar, Convenor, JITO Jobs; Shri Ranjit Jain, and Shri Sapan. The speakers unanimously emphasized that JITO Jobs is not merely an employment platform but a social movement that connects talent with opportunity, enabling specially abled individuals to live with dignity, confidence, and self-reliance.
A major highlight of the programme was the Artificial Limb Distribution Ceremony organized by Mukti, a renowned charitable organization that has distributed more than 500,000 artificial limbs across the country, transforming the lives of thousands of differently abled individuals. During the event, beneficiaries received artificial limbs, specially crafted prosthetic hands, and other assistive devices with the support of the JITO Chennai team, restoring hope, confidence, mobility, and independence.
The Mukti team was represented by Shri Mahendra Dhadha, Smt. Meena Dhadha, Shri Surendra Dhadha, Smt. Meeta Gulecha, and Smt. Naina Shah, who highlighted the organisation’s remarkable contribution towards empowering differently abled individuals and appealed to society to continue supporting such humanitarian initiatives.
The programme also received valuable support from Sri Geeta Bhavan Trust, a leading charitable organization actively engaged in various social service initiatives, including facilitating marriages for specially abled individuals. As a special gesture of support for this noble cause, the Trust graciously made its premises available for hosting the event. The Trust was represented by Shri Shiv Kumar Goenka and Shri Manu Goel.
