Tirupur Kamban Kazhagam Celebrates 16th Annual Day with Book Launch
Tirupur, 30th July, 2024 – The Tirupur Kamban Kazhagam proudly celebrated its 16th Annual Day yesterday with a grand event that also marked the launch of the new book, Avinasi Talapuranam. The former Supreme Court Judge Mr.V. Ramasubramaniam graced the occasion as a chief guest along with Padma Shri Dr. A. Sakthivel, Chairman of the Apparel, Made-ups and Home Furnishing Sector Skill Council, Govt of India (AMHSSC), Chairman of Poppy’s Group of Companies and Chairman of the board of trustees, the Avinashi Lingeshwarar Temple and Mr. K. M. Subramanian, President, Tirupur Exporters Association (TEA).
Mr. K.R. Nagarajan, Founder and Chairman, Ramraj Cotton extended a warm welcome to all the distinguished guests and attendees at the prestigious event hosted by the Tirupur Kamban Kazhagam. The highlight of the evening was the book launch of Avinasi Talapuranam, a comprehensive history of the Avinasi Lingeswarar Temple, written in simple Tamil by Mr. Ramakrishnan. The book, sponsored by Ramraj Cotton, was officially released by former Supreme Court Judge Mr. V. Ramasubramaniam. The first copy was graciously received by Dr. A Shaktivel.
Known for being the first organization to initiate cultural and literary activities inspired by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, Kamban Kazhagam has made significant strides in promoting Tamil literature. The event celebrated not only the rich cultural heritage of Tirupur but also emphasised the importance of preserving and promoting Tamil literature. The Tirupur Kamban Kazhagam continues to be a beacon of cultural enlightenment, inspired by the vision of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.
