Chennai : As part of National campaign on energy conservation, the Ministry of Power in co-operation with Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) and POWERGRID (A Maharatna PSU) organised a painting competition for school students.

The competition was conducted in two categories -. Cat-A (for 5th, 6th & 7th Students) and Cat-B (for 8th, 9th & 10th students) through schools which were registered in the BEE-Online web portal and two best drawings in each category were uploaded by schools.

Theme for this year’s (2023) Painting competition was ‘Life- Lifestyle for Environment” or “We Are Pro Planet People”.

Dr.J. Radhakrishnan, IAS, Addl. Chief Secretary & Commissioner, Greater Chennai Corporation, presided over the valedictory function at Anna University in Chennai and gave away the cash prize to the winners of the State Level Painting competition.
